Women's Discipleship
Hebrews 3:12-13 / Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called "today," that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
WHY
One of our main goals as a Women’s Ministry is to help women grow in their knowledge of
who Christ is and grow deeper in their walk with Christ through teaching and relationships with
other women. Discipleship is something that happens organically within the church in a variety of
ways but we want to help connect women who struggle to find someone to disciple them or
who are willing and longing to disciple someone but don’t know how to start. The goal is for
you to grow together as you walk together.
WHAT
When you sign up for a Women’s Discipleship Group, you will be put in a group of 2-3 women
who will become your discipleship group. Each group will have a leader. Your leader will walk
you through what expectations she will have for you while you are in her group and the parameters
for your meetings (how many times you will meet, day/times of your meetings, etc). You will work
through the book “Growing Together” by Melissa Kruger.
HOW
Discipleship starts with your willingness to see your need for it and then begins when you take
the action step of signing up and meeting with your group. After you sign up you will be contacted by your group leader. As we launch our groups our hope is to have groups set and in July and to begin meeting in August.
WHO
Discipleship is for everyone. No matter your age, you are called to both be discipled and to be
a discipler. The phrase “older women” does not just mean a physical maturity but of spiritual
maturity. Discipleship is for all and we would love to help you connect with a group if you are
not already being discipled by someone.
